From exports to a review report.

Start with the synthetic sample, then try small exports with a reliable shared record ID. This application compares data; you decide what each difference means.

1. Choose the files. Use CSV or TSV exports, or choose Excel .xlsx workbooks directly: pick the worksheet, and the app reads the stored cell values. You can also save each sheet as UTF-8 CSV. Older .xls files, PDF and database connections are not supported. Compare two Excel sheets and avoid the common traps.
2. Choose a delimiter. Select comma, semicolon or tab for each source. Quoted cells may contain delimiters, quotes and newlines.
3. Map columns. Choose a record-key column on each side. Add amount and currency columns if relevant. Configure the optional fields consistently on both sides.
4. Choose the decimal format. Dot and comma decimal separators are supported explicitly. Remove thousands grouping before importing; the tool does not guess number formats.
5. Compare. Review matches, missing records, differences, duplicates and invalid rows. Duplicate keys need review before matching.
6. Export. Download the CSV review report. A mapping profile contains settings only and can be reused without storing customer rows.

Supported scope

The full version accepts up to 200,000 data rows and 50 MiB per source. The free demo supports 500 rows and 2 MiB per source. The record key is trimmed and compared exactly, with case preserved. Amounts use exact decimal comparison. Currency conversion, fuzzy matching, split-invoice consolidation and automated financial entries are outside this version.

Interpreting the report

A missing row may reflect a different export filter or reporting period. An amount difference may reflect gross versus net values, credits, installments or a legitimate update. Check these conditions before taking action. A review item is not evidence of recovered or lost money.

Compare text fields with different headers

Pair a left and right column for each selected text field, such as status → state or quantity → units. Case, spaces and leading zeros count: “01” differs from “1”. Amount mappings retain exact signed-decimal comparison. The app lists unselected columns; key-only results do not establish that whole records match.

Review the five-row parsed preview. Delimiter suggestions consider quoted cells; manual choices override them. Decimal separators are never inferred. Search results by key and filter individual statuses; export the current view or every entry. Version 2 profiles preserve text pairs; version 1 imports add no new comparison fields.

Step-by-step guides

• Compare two CSV files without uploading them: the basic workflow, with a small product-list example.
• Compare two Excel sheets: open .xlsx workbooks directly or save each sheet as CSV UTF-8, and avoid thousands separators, lost leading zeros and rounded IDs.
• Reconcile two order or invoice exports: align the period and amount basis, then work through each result.
• Compare two supplier price lists: find price changes, new and dropped items and smaller packs at the same price.
• Find records missing from one of two lists: match on an ID alone, such as customers in the CRM but not in billing.
• Compare a stock count with the inventory system: map the quantities as the amount and work through shortages, surpluses and uncounted items.
